1. Service Overview
Card Optimizer ("the Service") is a subscription-based tool that analyzes your credit card transactions and delivers a daily SMS digest identifying missed rewards, expiring credits, and spend threshold progress. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
2. Subscription and Billing
- The Service costs $15 per month, billed monthly through Stripe.
- New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
- No refunds are issued for partial months of service.
3. Bank Connection
The Service connects to your bank and credit card accounts through Plaid, a third-party financial data aggregator. Access is read-only. Card Optimizer cannot move money, make payments, or modify your accounts in any way. By connecting your accounts, you authorize Plaid to retrieve transaction data on our behalf.
4. Not Financial Advice
Card Optimizer is an informational tool only. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to open or close any financial account. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. We make no guarantee regarding the accuracy of reward calculations, as card issuer terms may change without notice.
5. Data Usage
Your data is used solely for the purpose of providing the Service — analyzing your transactions and generating your daily digest. We do not sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms, using the Service fraudulently, or engaging in activity that could harm the Service or other users. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Card Optimizer and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service;
- Any errors or inaccuracies in transaction analysis or reward calculations;
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data;
- Any third-party conduct on the Service.
In no event shall our aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via SMS or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in New York County, New York.
